Applicable rules
FIT 27 «Promises Edition» is played according to the official rules of the Spanish Football Federation and the Catalan Football Federation.
Participation authorisations
All foreign teams must request an authorisation from their football federation in order to take part in the tournament and send it to Footvia (fit@footvia.com) so that we can inform the Catalan Football Federation. In countries where football is run by schools, we also accept teams affiliated to their school football association, but we need them to send us a letter of authorisation from the club.
Group stage
The teams taking part in each category are divided into groups of a maximum of 4 or 5 teams and play a single-round league. Win: 3 points. Draw: 1 point. Defeat: 0 points.
The top four teams go through to the final stage; the remaining teams are eliminated.
Tie-breakers between two teams
- Result of the matches played between them (head-to-head goal difference).
- Overall goal difference across all matches.
- Highest number of goals scored across all matches.
- Lowest number of goals conceded.
- Highest number of matches won.
- Highest number of younger players.
Tie-breakers between more than two teams

- Highest number of goals scored across all matches.
- Lowest number of goals conceded in the overall group table.
- Highest number of matches won.
- Highest number of younger players.
Final stage
All final-stage matches are played on a knockout basis and are decided without extra time, straight from penalties: 3 penalties in 7-a-side and 5 penalties in 11-a-side.
Match duration
- U11: 2 x 20 minutes
- U12: 2 x 20 minutes
- U14: 2 x 25 minutes
- U16: 2 x 25 minutes
- U19: 2 x 25 minutes
Half-time break: 5 minutes.
Squad size and substitutes
7-a-side: minimum 9 and maximum 14 players. 11-a-side: minimum 14 and maximum 22 players.
Substitutions are unlimited and must be made with play stopped. Any substituted player may come back on. Under no circumstances may a player take part in the competition with two different clubs, or with two teams from the same club playing in the same category.
Documentation and team data
Team managers must complete and sign a data protection form, granting or withholding their consent for the organisation to process the data and to use any graphic reproduction of the participants during the event.
Kits
Every club must bring at least two numbered playing kits. If, before a match starts, the referee considers that the colours of the two teams are too similar, the team listed second in the fixture must change.
Balls
7-a-side matches are played with size 4 balls and 11-a-side matches with size 5 balls.
Refereeing
All matches are officiated by referees belonging to official federations.
Sanctions
Any player sent off with a straight red card for misconduct will receive a minimum suspension of one match (their team's next match). If the straight red card results from an incident of play rather than misconduct, the player will not be suspended and may play the next match.
Misconduct or unsporting behaviour includes: playing violently in a way that may injure opponents, insulting anyone on the pitch or in the crowd, and spitting at anyone on the pitch or in the crowd.
The tournament organisation may decide at any time to expel a player or a team that breaches any tournament rule or behaves in an unsporting manner.
No-shows and withdrawals
A team that fails to turn up for a match without a valid reason may lose it 0-3 by decision of the jury. If a team does not arrive on time because of transport delays or traffic, the jury may decide to delay the match (by a maximum of 45 minutes from the scheduled kick-off) or to reschedule it for another time on the same day.
In special cases, the tournament jury may decide to exclude a team at the first offence if it is deemed deliberate, for its own benefit or to the detriment of another team in the group.
A team that decides to withdraw during a match may not continue playing in the tournament, even if it still has group-stage or final-stage matches left.
Abandoned matches
If a match is interrupted for any reason and cannot be resumed, the jury decides between these alternatives:
- The match is replayed from the start.
- The match continues from the minute at which it was suspended.
- The score at the moment of suspension is set as the final result.
- One of the teams wins 3-0.
- Both teams lose the match (0-3).
Match schedules
The tournament organisation reserves the right to modify the match schedule at any point during the event. Should there be any change, team managers will be informed immediately.
Rules of order
The team delegates listed among the participants are responsible for the conduct of their players in the event of damage caused to sports facilities, changing rooms, accommodation, transport and other facilities.
It is essential to respect the established match and changing-room timings before and after playing. Failure to comply will be dealt with by the organisation and may lead to exclusion from the tournament or a collective sanction.
Conduct of family members and supporters
Teams are responsible for the conduct of their supporters and families. A team may lose a match if the referee decides to end it because of verbal or violent behaviour by its family members and supporters towards the referees.
Teams may be expelled from the tournament at the first incident of verbal or violent behaviour by their family members and supporters towards the referees or the opposing team.
Loss or theft
The organisation accepts no responsibility for the theft of sports equipment or personal belongings of participants, either at the accommodation or at the sports facilities.
Insurance
All clubs and teams must have their players insured both on and off the pitch. Every participant must hold a health card or private insurance.
AE Footvia Academy accepts no liability for any loss or damage suffered by participants, such as the loss of personal belongings (through theft or any other circumstance) or injuries. Nor does it accept liability for measures taken by public authorities or transport companies, such as strikes or cancellations.
By applying to register, the club declares that its players are physically fit to take part. The organisers accept no liability for any damage participants may cause during or after the competition, either to themselves or to third parties.
The organisers will offer participating teams accident insurance as an optional paid extra.
The tournament organisers hold public liability insurance.
Data protection and image rights
Everyone registered on the official tournament platform must complete the data protection form, have it signed by their legal guardians and hand it to the organisers before the tournament. That form gives consent for the processing of their data. Taking part in the event authorises AE Footvia Academy to use any images of participants recorded during the tournament.
Players and clubs that do not submit the image rights authorisation before the competition starts will not be allowed to take part.
